Project Management Traditional and Agile
Question: Discuss about the Project Management for Traditional and Agile. Answer: Introduction: It is not always true that experience is not educative. At times, the past experience that an individual face may be educative in making proper judgment and viable decisions. Management may at time require this experience so as to path way for various aspects in an organizational setup. Again, management require managers to enact means of developing reflective practitioner. Typically, reflective practice refer to the capability of reflecting on individual actions so as to engage in a continuous learning process (Snyder, 2013). This process consist of experience that a manager for this case face in the daily operations of a particular organization. In this case, I fail to agree with Crawford and Hoffman. Project managers require something more than the education obtained in the education setup. Complex projects need a highly skilled manager so as to fully advocate for all the necessary requirements to initiate them. There are not inherent characteristics in complex projects that are mis-educative because the volatility and vulnerability of any project highly depend on the approach applied by the project manager (Wysocki, 2013). Education has not much relation with how the project manager approach a complex project. The training offered on project management form a basis of management skills. To connect this training, a project manager need to apply the previous experience so as to fully surpass the complexity of the project. It is not just a simple approach to such complex projects by the fact that one has undergone training. The scenario in the project is not necessarily the same as in the training kit. Therefore I disagree wi th Crawford and Hoffman in their assertion. I believe that experience and education have a perfect positive correlation and are all educative. References Snyder, C. (2013).
